|Personal History||Alyssa was born in Scottland when her parents were backpacking the UK. Because of her being born early, her parents were forced to return home and resume their day to day duties. Her father applied to the Ministry of Magic to be some grunt but was rejected. Because of this, he decided that he would open a shop not too far from home.
As Alyssa grew up, she was heavily influenced in magic. She used to love to watch her mother cook and clean with the flick of her wrist, almost putting nothing into the process. This amazed Alyssa and she wished that she could be as good of a witch as her mother. The first time she said this to her mother, she was told that she needed to keep on her studies and make sure that she knew all of the content taught.
She never forgot this. Throughout the years she had spent many hours over books about history, transfigurations, and charms. These subjects were the ones that fascinated her the most, and she made a goal to learn as much as she possibly could before the age of seventeen.
At the age of ten, she was walking home from primary school (her parents lived in an area heavily populated with muggles), she was attacked by the class bullies. When she was struggling to defend herself, the first few bits of her power revealed themselves. The bullies flew back onto the ground, allowing Alyssa to run the rest of the way home when they were still trying to figure out what happened.
The day Alyssa got her letter, she was so excited. Her family threw her a party in order to commemorate this joyous occasion. There were several complaints for them to quiet down, but even when they did so, they celebrated well into the next morning.
Alyssa's first trip to Diagon Alley was very eventful. She was amazed at all the types of shops that were there and how different they were from the muggle shops just a few miles away from here. She decided at that point that she would stick with the wizarding world as much as possible, not feeling any love towards the muggle world at the time.
When she got her wand, she couldn't believe how comfortable it felt. She had always attempted to sneak her mother's wand when her parent's were asleep, but it felt cold to her and she didn't like the way it gripped her hand. With this wand, she accidentally broke one of the wand shop windows and scurried off as soon as she payed.
The few days after that seemed to fly by and soon she found herself on the Hogwarts Express with her future peers, waving to her parents and promising that she would write. She couldn't help her excitement, for it was on that day that she would take the right step in figuring out who she was.
