Mission: Yule!
Location: Great Hall

Jason watched the girl walking out into the garden, but remained still. Unless someone had a cloak of invisibility, it wasn't a couple sneaking off to be naughty, but he watched the snow around her and where she had passed, just to be sure. Teens would be teens, but it became complicated when they were wizards and witches, add raging hormones to the ability to work minor miracles and there was bound to be trouble of one kind of another. He was less than surprised when a boy appeared at the entrance a short time later, and followed after the girl. Rather than nip it in the bud, he watched for a bit, keeping his position. Whether the meeting was planned, forced, or incidental needed to be discovered, though if it was one of the first two, he wouldn't let it get far along at all.

Jennifer found a bench and sat down. The cool night air felt good on her flushed cheeks. She was terrified someone would find out that "Evan" was Reg. She didn't care, but it would cause uncalculable damage to Reg. She covered her face with her hands and sighed. It was just one night. She could handle one night.

She heard someone walking towards her and stood to see who it was. When she recognized Reg she ran over to him and hugged him tightly.

Millie was placing her broom back in the broom cupboard after spying on Craig and had decided to sneak off for another night laying under the stars and wondering where she had gone wrong. She was walking slowly and as quietly as possible towards the lawns of the castle, knowing no one was there at this time. What she didn't know was that Reg and Jen were on a nearby bench.

She looked down at the floor as she walked not watching where she was going, but kicking along pebbles on the path.

"Huh?" Millie said looking up, her blonde hair shining in the moonlight as she looked around for the noise. "Who's there?" she asked as she pulled out her wand. "Craig if thats you.... Lumos". The wand light illuminated a small area infront of her and she saw the bench with bushes around.

Reg put his arms around Jennifer and smiled a bit. "Hey. It's okay, Jen." He whispered and then looked away quickly because he heard a noise. Reg looked around and then saw nothing before looking back to Jennifer. "What's wrong? You know I wouldn't let anything happen to you."

"Pandora's suspicious. You're not acting like Evan." She gave him another hug. "Although I'm glad you're NOT. But I'm afraid someone is going to find out you're you and then your parents will find out." She looked up at him and ran a hand gently across his cheek.

"I'm sorry. I can't help acting this way around you." Reginald smiled and then put his hand on the side of her face. "Jennifer, you worry too much." He laughed and then leaned in and kissed her. He kissed her passionately, still keeping his hand on the side of her face and then slowly leaning back as he broke it. It was a short kiss, but it was full of love. "You let me deal with Pandora and Peter. I highly doubt she knows what's going on and Peter is mostly hot air anyway."

Jen smiled softly. "If you say so." She turned to see Millie on the path behind them. "Uh, hi, Millie. Out for a walk?" She noticed the girl wasn't dressed for the ball. She slipped her arm through Reg's, trying to act like nothing was wrong.

"I guess so" Millie said in response. "What are you doing out here?"

Reginald stood there, his arm wrapped by Jennifer's and did his best to smile. He was trying to act less like himself and more like Evan. He already looked the part, now he had to act the part.

Jen groaned inwardly. She really didn't want to deal with Millie right now. "Ben cast a spell to impress Pandora so we came out here to get away from the chaos -- at least until it dies down. How about you?"

"Wait a minute" Millie said turning around before she walked off. "If your Evan, why is there a snake slithering around in that bush?" he asked waving her wand over at the bush where a snake was hiding at its base. "Unless of course you're not really Evan..."

"Or that's not really a snake," Jen countered. "I swear, you probably think every snake in the world is up to something. The castle has rats. I'm no surprised there's a snake. Probably a lot of them around here."

Jen breathed a sigh of relief when Millie walked off. "I think we should go back inside," she said quietly. "It's too dangerous out here."

The two walked back inside.

Jason watched from the shadows, they hadn't had the chance to do anything quite yet before the other girl had shown up. It was actually kind of amusing, and he had to hide a grin. The pair had been getting close when who was it, Watkins? No Anderson, that was it! When Anderson had walked out and interrupted them.

Meanwhile inside Pandora was still dancing with Ben trying to make small talk while she watched for Jennifer and 'Evan' to return. "So what are your plans for the holidays?" She asked trying to sound truly interested.

Jen stopped outside the door and looked at Reg. "Ready for round two?" she asked softly.

Reg smiled slightly and then nodded. He took her hand in his and walked with her to the dance floor, again. He felt like he wasn't wearing a mask. Like it was just him and Jen. The other's just seemed to fade away, leaving only them and the sound of the music.

She slipped her hand through his arm as they walked back into the Great Hall.
