Mission: New Semester

"Do you think Peter isn't capable of going that far? You don't know the Peter that I know, Jen. I can't lose you. This is what he wants. He wants a reaction from me and far be it from me to not give them man what he wants!" Reginald let out a slight yell and then let out a slight frustrated growl. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, trying to calm himself down and then sat back down. "Jen? You know I can't let this go. I wouldn't be me if I did." He said softly to her as he looked up to her, a look of worry and concerned in his face and eyes.

"That's WHY I couldn't tell you. Peter wants you to go to him so he can get you back. And if he can't get you back, he'll destroy you. For that reason you can't face him alone. Stay away. We just need to finish this semester and he'll be gone from Hogwarts."

Reginald stood back up and walked to her. "Jennifer, I know everything Peter knows. I've been around him since the second day of my first year. There is nothing he can throw at me I won't see coming."

Jennifer stood to face him. "If he's mad enough to use a crucio do you think he's going to behave as you expect? He knows that. He knows you. He's had three months to prepare to take you down. Don't assume you know what he'll do."

"And I've had five years of studying his moves, his actions, his personality. I told you from the get go, Jen. All this time I have been picking up appearances with them, but I have been keeping an eye on them as I did it. Studying them, like a wolf amongst the sheep." Reginald responded and then sighed slightly. "Jen, I don't want to fight about this. You know I love you and asking me to walk away from this is something you know I wouldn't be able to do."

"Then don't expect me to tell you anything -- or take Rasputin with me."

Reginald ran his hands through his hair in frustration and then took in a deep breath to calm down. "Why? Why can't you understand that this isn't me being the old me, its me being your boyfriend and wanting to protect you?"

"And *I* can't try to protect you? Idiot." She smacked him in the back of his head with her palm. "It has to be an equal partnership or it won't work."

"Good. So if I get killed, you can be next?" Reg responded, in jest.

"No, I want to go first."

"I am not letting that happen! You know I am not gonna let anything happen to you! Not after everything we have been through." Reginald said as he looked at her, responded to her in a calmer tone.

"How do you think I feel?" she asked.

Reginald took a step forward and took her hands in his. "Jen, I give you my word I won't get killed, but i can't promise I am gonna keep letting him do these things. I have to step up to him, because if I don't this will keep going. He wont stop until someone does."

There was nothing she could say to that, so she just nodded.

"I promise." Reginald squeezed her hand slightly and closed his eyes, looking down. "I promise, I wont be the one who initiates it, but I won't stand there and let him hit me with spells." He opened and then looked back up to her. "I will do everything in my ability to avoid a problem, Okay. I promise I will come back to you." He smirked and then ran his finger through her hair.

"Hey." Reg put his finger under her chin and then tapped it, slightly pushing her head up to look into her eyes. "You don't have to hold anything back from me. I would never do anything to threaten our relationship, Collins. You, the reptile, and the fuzzball are all I have left. I expect your not gonna get rid of me that easily."

"I don't want to get rid of you," she said softly. "I don't want to lose you, either. And I'm afraid of what Peter might do to you."

"Try to smile, huh? You know I hate seeing you in a bad mood and besides..." Reg smirked. "Some moral support from the girl that I love would give me an extra confidence boost."

"Emotional blackmail, Price. Not good," she muttered.

"So I picked up a trick of two from my old man." Reginald said with a slight laugh and then went quiet. "But my love for you is stronger then anything. You being in my life will always give me that extra push to move forward." He smiled and then put his forehead to hers. "Your my heart and my strength, Jennifer."

Jennifer melted at his words. She threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. "I love you, too, Reg. More than anything. You know I'm here for whatever you need -- as long as you don't tell me to stay back. We're a team. Both of us, working together. Okay?" She buried her face in the crook of his neck. "I'm worried about you confronting Peter. I don't want you to get hurt. I couldn't handle it if something happened to you," she confessed.

Reg pulled her back a bit and looked at her in the eyes. "You know I'm too smart for that." He said softly with a smile and then leaned in kissing her passionately.
