Mission: New Semester
Location: Hogwarts Grounds

Rasputin seemed to be in a fired up mood, with poor Tribble rolling behind him as they made their way to the Slytherin Dorms. The snake was on a mission, to let Reg know what happened between Peter and Jennifer. After a couple of twists and turns he made it out of his hole in the wall and into the dorms. He stopped quickly and looked around to see if anyone was in there. Tribble let out an exhausted squeak.

"What? Don't quit on me now, Fuzz. We got to fine Reg and tell him what happened." Rasputin hissed as Tribble replied in her usual squeaking. "Yesss Yesss, I know ssshe sssaid ssshe would talk to him, but I don't think ssshe isss gonna tell him. I love the girl and all but ssshe is gonna wanna keep him from doing sssomething ssstupid. If you asssk me, then I sssay Peter dessservesss whatsss coming to him." The snake stuck out his tongue and look up the stairs leading to Reg's room. "Quick, Fuzzball! To the Price Cave!" Rasputin slithered up the stairs to Reg's room.

After a long conversation with Rasputin, Reg made his way to Library to go look for her. It seemed a lot easier to move around the school, since most of the students gave him enough space now. A lot of them seemed to be still mad at him not knowing how to react for the time being.

Reginald spoke to one of the students there, and after a small interrogation, he heard she was outside in the garden. He left the library and went over to where the student said she was last seen. He smiled as he saw her in view.

Jennifer was concentrating on a large leather-bound tome, but when she heard someone walking towards her she looked up. When she saw it was Reg she set the book down and went to hug him.

"Hi! I didn't think I'd see you until dinner."

Reg hugged her back, with a smile, and then leaned back. He looked at her into her eyes. "You want me to leave?" He let out a slight laugh.

"Of course not. I always like having you around," she assured him. She picked up her book and led Reg to a bench in the sunshine.

When they were both seated she turned to him. "So, what brings you out here?"

Reginald sat down on the bench and put his arm around her. "So I need an excuse now to come see my girlfriend? Out in the open for a change?" He laughed and then smiled as he looked over to her.

"You never needed an excuse before, why would you need one now?" Jen replied, leaning her head against his shoulder. "I thought you were going to be busy today."

"Decided to come see the girl I love. How was your day?" Reginald pulled her close and then kissed her on the side of her head with a smile. He was hoping she would tell him what happened so he doesn't have to tell her that he knows. If he told her, then it would cause more problems and he wasn't in the mood to fight with her.

"It was ... interesting. I ran into Peter. He isn't happy with you and I being together."

Reginald nodded. At least she brought it up, now lets see how much she says. He gave her a concerned looked. "What happened? Is everything okay?"

Jen shrugged. "He was being his usual Muggle-hating self. He made a few threats and then Rasputin bit him." Jen grinned. "You should have seen him. He was very brave. Then, when Peter was gone, he needed a cuddle." She found it quite charming.

"Did he?" Reg laughed a bit and then smiled. "I'm gonna have to tease him about that later." He said softly and then cleared his throat, a bit nervously. "So... umm... Peter didn't do anything life-threatening?"

Jen gave him a sharp look. "Why do you ask that specifically?"

"A certain slithering friend stopped by my room and told me a little story." Reginald sighed slightly and then looked away. "I wanted to hear it from you before I went to go deal with it myself."

"That's precisely WHY you weren't going to hear it from me," she said sternly. "I don't want you to get hurt. Peter's mad because you aren't his precious little shadow anymore and he's trying to get to you through me. I won't let him. Don't YOU let him, either."

"He tried to kill you?" Reginald yelled as he stood up looking at her. "You want me to just walk away when Peter tried to kill you?"

"He didn't try to kill me. He tried to HURT me. There's a difference," she assured him. "He's not stupid. Killing me would only bring unwanted attention. A little pain, on the other hand, goes a long way when it comes to simple intimidation."

"Do you think Peter isn't capable of going that far? You don't know the Peter that I know, Jen. I can't lose you. This is what he wants. He wants a reaction from me and far be it from me to not give them man what he wants!" Reginald let out a slight yell and then let out a slight frustrated growl. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, trying to calm himself down and then sat back down. "Jen? You know I can't let this go. I wouldn't be me if I did." He said softly to her as he looked up to her, a look of worry and concerned in his face and eyes.
