Mission: September 1 A new Beginning
Timeline: October 11th, 2020

Barny wasn't much one for standing on ceremony, and Fiona hadn't said that she didn't want him to put his name in. He stepped forward and dropped a piece of parchment into the goblet with his name on it. As the fire in the goblet flared to signal acceptance, he could feel all the eyes in the room on him, and he stepped out of the enclosing circle, feeling the tingle once more as he crossed the line that had been drawn on the ground around the goblet.

Ben watched as several kids timidly walked up and put there name in. He wanted to put his name in and he wanted to win, but he also didn't want to look overeager, so he waited for a bit, then slowly started to make his way up there. He scribbled his name on the parchment and dropped it into the goblet, watching as it took the paper. He hoped he was chosen, he'd been dreaming of this for ages.

Reginald walked in with Jen, stopping immediately to look at the Goblet of Fire. It was an amazing sight to behold. "Lets go find a seat or something. Watch all the people put their names in. I want to see who thinks they can get the cup."

After several minutes, Jen turned to Reg. "Okay, I'll make you a deal. I'll let you put your name in if you let me put mine in." She had no doubt she wouldn't qualify, but she'd spent her entire life being cautious and it might be fun, just for that one day, to be a risk-taker.

"No. Absolutely not." Reginald replied as he walked with her to find somewhere to sit. "No way are you entering that thing. Do yo know how dangerous it is? You think I am gonna let you put yourself in danger?" He shook his head as they sat down. "No chance in hell. Besides, I am not putting my name in. I would rather someone else risk their life for some stupid cup can eternal glory." He mocked and then laughed. "Anyone who puts their name in is either stupid or suicidal, and I am neither. And neither are you." Reg put his arm around her and brought her in closer. "Unless there is something your not telling me."

"No. I have no chance of being chosen. I'm no hero. I just wanted to give You the option. With a rider."

Reginald smiled and brought her closer. He closed his eyes and kissed her softly on her lips and then pulled back, holding his smile. "Like I said. My name isn't going in that cup. So neither is yours."

Jen sighed happily after the kiss. "Okay. Hey, do you want to go for a walk in the garden while the flowers are still in bloom?"

Reginald looked at her with puppy dog eyes. He tried to put on the saddest face he could, but she could tell he was faking it. "You don't want to sit here and watch me make fun and joke about the students putting their names in the Goblet Of Fire?" He spoke in a soft and sad sounding voice, but then laughed when he saw her reaction.

"No, I don't. But if you do, I'm happy to go walk in the garden by myself." She patted him on the head and stood. "Have fun."

"No, no, no." He put his hand on her waist and gently brought her down onto his lap. "Please stay, then we can go take I walk. I promise. Please?" Reg looked at her with a smile. "I promise I won't make fun of everyone, just a few."

"Okay, I'll stay a little longer," she said, kissing him briefly. She wrapped an arm around his neck and turned to watch who was going to put their name in next.

Just then Millie Anderson entered the room. She looked down at the piece of paper in her hand and then caught a glimpse of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team watching her.
"Well I best do this" she muttered as she walked upto the goblet of fire. She had to stand on her tiptoes to reach it, but very gently yet quickly she tossed her name into the flame. She turned to face her team.
"Sorry guys. I had to do that, orders from my parents" and with a swish of her cloak she turned and left, intending to take a walk down to the Quidditch pitch which she would not be using all year...

Fenris stood outside the door and watched her leave, his hood over his head. "Good Luck, Millie" he said aloud, before entering the room and moving to the age line. His hands crossed over each other in front of him as he stood guard.

Poor MIllie. Jen didn't envy her the position of having to enter the Triwizard Tournament because of parental pressure. She glanced over at Reg. If he'd been in his parents' good graces, would he, too, be pressured into putting his name in?

Reece wasn't feeling all that well, putting his name in the Goblet wasn't something he'd done before, but his continuing string of bad luck this year would be capped off undoubtedly with him being selected to compete in this Tri-Wizard Tournament. To his credit, no one in his family has ever competed, so this would be a rather interesting chapter in his life if his name was selected.

Entering with a mix of other Ravenclaws, he tried to blend in without bring too much attention to himself. This of course went off without a hitch as one of his classmates called him out in that perfect time frame when all was quiet. Moving over into the age line, he winced as sighed desperately hoping he wouldn't be selected.

Catching a glimpse of his crush, Reece looked down at the floor as he simply waited his turn at the Goblet.

Genevieve Legarde was fortunate to be from Beuxbattons and Hogwarts. As an exchange student, she'd been allowed to enter her name twice for the Tournament. Such things like this were generally too violent or intense for her, but there was something about the glory of it that just drew her in. She wrote her name on two slips of parchment and through them into the goblet.
