Mission: September 1 A new Beginning
Location: Great Hall
Timeline: October 12th, 2020

Jennifer was curious to see who would be the Hogwarts champion. She looked around the room. There were several would would do a great job representing the school.

Being Head Boy had its perks, people listened to you, you got treated like a adult most of the time, but it hardly guaranteed anything. If Reece was to win this tournament, he would have to prove more than every he wasn't afraid of himself, afraid of failing. It was a fear he hadn't realized yet, but one that would truly test him in every way.

The Tri Wizard Cup fire erupted blue as the first name shot up and out, Nicholi's hand shot up and caught the first slip of parchment. " Jennifer Collins" Nicholi said.

Jennifer was all set to applaud the champion. She froze. Turned to Reg. "WHAT did he say?"

"He's joking, right?" Reginald replied as he looked over to Jennifer and then back to the Headmaster. "Does he even know how to joke?" He ask out loud to himself before looking back to Jennifer and looking over to the Governors table toward his father who had a devilish smile on is face. "That son of a" He paused as he narrowed his eyes. "Its all his fault." Reg started to get up, but was pushed back down by Jennifer. He knew his father had to do with this. Who else would have the power and knowledge to put Jennifer's name into the cup and get away with it.

Barny sat there stunned, Jen had been chosen? How? He looked at her with horror, hoping no dragons would be used. His mind was filled with worry for his hapless cousin.

"Ms. Collins if you please." Nicholi said pointing to the door.

Jennifer stood and addressed the Headmaster. "But I didn't put my name in!"

"Well dear, that is something we may need to look into, unfortunately you are bound to compete by binding magical contract, there is nothing else we can do about it now." Nicholi said.

Jennifer fought the rising panic as she looked at Reg and then Professor Nostradamus. He was right. Her name on a paper submitted to the TriWizard cup constituted a binding legal contract. She wasn't a fighter. She had absolutely no idea if she could survive the tournament.

She took a deep breath and focused on walking out the door without stumbling -- or fainting. There would be time for panic later.

Barny brushed her arm with concern as she passed. Then looked to Fiona.

Satele watched in surprise as Jennifer stood up and walked out of the great hall. She never thought Jennifer would would be someone to put her name forward for the Tournerment. Her boyfriend Reginald sure, but not her.

Fiona was as shocked as Jen. The two of them had talked about the tournament and who might be the champion, but she knew Jen had no interest in competing herself. How had her name been pulled from the Goblet? She'd have to look into it later.

Reginald watched Jen leave the great hall. PHe looked back to the Headmaster and then to his father. When the coast was clear he made his way toward the doors. As he made his way toward the door he was stopped by the voice of his father. "Mister Price!" Artimus said as he stood up slowly from his seat. "The ceremony has not concluded. Take your seat. Now!"

Reg stopped and looked over to his father. He looked around a bit at the others before he looked back to his father, narrowing his eyes in anger. "I was going to-."

"Sit! Down!" Mister Price said even louder narrowing his eyes back. "I am sure your..." He paused for a moment as he held back from said the word Mudblood in public. "Your classmate" He put on a fake smile on continued. "Can find her way around the school without you. Now sit down so we can continue.

Without any other word, Reginald walked to his seat and sat down. He kept his eyes locked on is father and waited for moment the ceremony was over so he could make a run toward the door to Jen. His father just sat down, smiling. He looked over to the Headmaster and nodded to let him to continue.

Reece watched the entire thing unfold right before his eyes, something was afoot, but he had no idea what it was. sitting quietly, his attention was turned back towards the Headmaster as he listen for more names.

The cup flared up again and another piece of paper flew out of the Goblet. "Pierre Audinot."

From the back corner of the room, with a small knot of girls around him, a very well-made young man wearing Beauxbaton colors stood forward. His expression was unreadable, but he nodded acknowledgement with a half-smile as the groupies chittered their congratulations in French. Inwardly, he was elated. This was his last chance to compete, and he had so wanted to make his father proud. Then there would be two Triwizard cups on the mantlepiece. Like Father, like son.

Looking over at the group of 'fan girls', Satele grimaced. Sure this guy was cute, but she didn't think that he was that big of a deal.

The Goblet flared up a third time, spitting out another paper.

Corbin was standing in the back, while his classmates sat at a dinner table he was laying against the wall looking over at his professor. The paper landed and he began his walk forward, already knowing the outcome.

"Corbin Roday!" Nostradamus called out over the people.

Being cocky and already walking up, he gave high fives out to his team mates and threw both his fists up in the air as he walked forward heading for the champions area.

Everyone began to stir, talking about the three champions and what the tournament would be like this time round. But they all stilled when the Goblet of Fire flared again, indicating another name would be pit out.
