Another School Year, Another ...
Timeline: All Hallow's Eve
The night had come for the Halloween Ball. The Great Hall was lit by a thousand jack-o-lanterns dancing in the air just below the ceiling which twinkled with ten thousand stars. Long tables lined one of the walls, heavy with dozens of delectable pastries, drinks and food items to tempt the most finicky palate.
The doors to the Great Hall and the main doors leading to the gardens had been opened and the night was a perfect blend of cool and clear with a sharp hint of winter.
Jennifer spent the afternoon after class helping to set up the Hall. Thanks to the Professors, she'd been given enough time to have a bath and change into a long, dark green dress with silver along the neckline and sleeves. Her hair was pulled up with silver hair clips. Tiny silver snakes hung from her ears to match her snake bracelet. She stood outside the Great Hall, waiting for Reg to meet her.
Coming down from their dorm, Satele and Bre were talking shop and discussing which subjects they would take next year. Satele wasn't really interested in the ball, but Bre really wanted to go, so she grudgingly agreed to go as along. Satele was wearing a pair of black jeans with a Gryffindor t-shirt and a pair of runners. In stark contrast, Bre was wearing a powder blue dress and flats. She held out for the hope that someone might ask her to dance tonight.
"Don't you think it would be romantic to be asked to dance by a handsome stranger?" Bre asked, imagining a Prince Charming type offering her his hand
"Sure, I guess so, but good luck getting that here. I wouldn't dance with one of the boys here if they were the last boy I'd ever see" Satele said, more pessimistic about it. She was never really one for the whole 'pritty girl' thing, preferring comfort over looking appealing
"You shouldn't say that Satele" Bre said gruffly, "it's bad enough that you're turning up for a ball in jeans and a t-shirt, but do you have to rain on my parade as well?"
"Hay, don't let me stop you. If you want to spend the night with one of those fourth year boys leering at you, than by all means" Satele said with a shrug, "I just don't think any of the boys are worth it"
Seeing Jennifer standing outside the great hall, Satele and Bre walked over to her, "hay Jennifer, nice dress" Bre said with a smile
"Thanks," Jen said. "Good to see the two of you here."
Keesha walked up and joined them. "Hi!" she said to the others. She'd come mostly for the food. The House Elves made the best food for the Halloween party.
"Hello" Satele and Bre said in unison
"This is your last year here isn't it Jennifer?" Satele asked, turning back to her, "are you and price going to move in together?"
"We plan on getting married," she said. "After we both graduate."
"So romantic, where is your wedding going to be?" Bre asked
"I don't know," Jennifer admitted. "We don't want to talk about the details until after school. It'll probably be somewhere my parents can attend. They're Muggles."
Allie arrived in a silvery blue dress with her magic makeup and jewelry fitted just right to the dress and her pale complexion. Her long blonde hair was in a knot at the base of her skull, with just the right amount of hair falling in curls from in front of her ears. She spotted Jennifer and Bre, and went over to them to say hello. "Hello, everyone. Nice night for a ball, isn't it?"
"Hi," Jennifer said. "Yes, it is. Very mild for October."
Fiona had no interest in going to the ball tonight. It was her last year at Hogwarts and she was going to spend Halloween in the library. There was nothing worse than going to the dance when you'd just broken up with your boyfriend. So, she would help organize the shelves and make sure all the books were back in place.
Aramis had on an old Kimono that had been passed down to all the eldest sons in the family for generations and was very ornate as it was the Hakama of a Samurai... Aramis wasn't really happy about having to wear it but understood that for him it was a matter of family tradition and he was bound by honor to wear it and to keep the tradition alive. He did however forgo the custom of carrying the traditional weapons that went along with the Hakama and instead concealed his wand in an easy to reach location as for him that was his preferred weapon of choice. After leaving the Ravenclaw common room Aramis made his way towards the great hall for the ball.
Ayano was hot on her big brother's tail also wearing a beautiful kimono and hiding her wand in an easily accessible area as well. Her hair was neatly tied back and partially pinned up with a long loosely tied ponytail and right where her hair parted near her forehead she had a nice Pink Carnation gently tied into her hair.

Jason had no desire to attend the ball, he would have preferred to stay back and study. Jasons older brother Richard had been pressuring him to go. "Don't be a party pooper all of our friends will be there" Richard said. "You have your Slytherin friends that you will hangout with and im not really feeling like it" replied Jason. At that moment Jason found himself in the great hall dressed in a suit and tie. "How did you get us here" Jason said to his brother. "Its called magic" Responded Richard".

Connor didn't have enough time to find a date for the ball and was not at all happy that he would be going, but being the only member of his family to attended Hogwarts in the last half century or more he was required by his family standing and the fact that he wanted to be a prefect he had to attend and make a good impression on the others.
