Another School Year, Another ...
Location: somewhere in the castle
Timeline: after the ball
Aramis looked at Satele and smiled before motioning for her to follow him. He had wanted to spend more time with her.
Seeing Aramis beckoning her over, Satele shurgged and followed him.
Ayano watched her brother and Satele walk out of the hall and ran over to Bre and tugged on her hand again. "Sorry to interrupt again but look..." She giggled as she directly pointed at her brother and Satele. "Wanna play 'I spy' with me and spy on them????" Ayano sheepishly giggled.
Bre laughed, "oh why not. It'll be interesting to see if you can sneak around Satele"
Ayano cheered with glee. "i can sneak up on Oni-sama really easily." she giggled as she took bre's hand and pulled her along.
Bre shook her head, "we'll see"
Aramis hesitantly offered his hand to Satele, not sure if she would take it or not and more so out of being nervous as this whole 'dating' scene was fairly new to him still.
Biting her lip, Satele pretended not to notice the hand. She was still unsure about the whole dating thing, and she did sort of have a bit of a Tom boy rep to keep up. "Um, so....what do you want to talk about?"
"Not so much talk as wanting to simply enjoy your company and some privacy for just the 2 of us." He commented as he lowered his hand. "I think we can both agree that it's not exactly easy to have quality alone time with my little sister butting in frequently." he lightly chuckled.
Satele smiled, "yea, Bre can be a handful at times too" she said, glancing behind them
Ayano stopped and quickly hid around a corner and waited for her brother and Satele to get further away before following to the next place that she could use for concealment.
Bre followed a small distance behind Ayano, just making sure that she didn't get in trouble. She figured Satele would figure it out eventually, but she wasn't going to help her.
Ayano looked around the area a bit. "Darn no exposed beams in the ceiling to use to move about." Ayano stated as she started to fall back on her martial arts training to make her foot movements as light as possible so as not to generate too much sound.
Aramis glanced back and grinned as he pulled satele close to him with one hand while drawing his wand with the other. "Shhh don't say anything." He whispered as he pulled them into a notch out in the wall before casting a concealment spell to conceal their location and did it as a very tight casting meaning they had to remain perfectly still and could only shift position by about 1/4 of an inch in any direction.
Licking her lips, Satele could feel her face get hotter as her heart rate started to climb. Aramis's actions were so sudden she wasn't prepared for him to pull her closer. Remaining silent, she she tried to take small quick breaths while trying not to move.
Ayano lost track of her brother and Satele and remained perfectly still, not moving at all from her current position about 10 yards back from where she had last seen them standing. "Damn where did they go?" She whispered super quietly.
Having noticed the charm, Bre figured she should distract Ayano and give the young couple done space, "come on, maybe we can follow them next time" she said, holding out her hand.
Ayano pouted but took the older girl's hand and pulled Bre towards the Ravenclaw Dorms.
Aramis nodded towards his sister and Bre as they left. "Sorry but my suspected my sister would try to follow us." He said choosing not to draw attention to the fact that he could see Satele's cheeks flushing or the fact that he could hear her heart beating rather quickly.
Satele swallowed and nodded, "yea, I....I didn't think of that" she said quietly. She'd never been this close to a boy she liked before and all of her self confidence seemed to have left her. After a moment, she pushed through the illusion Aramis has put up and started to taking some deep breaths, Get a grip on yourself. He's only a boy. It's not like he's asking you home or something Satele thought to herself as she started to pace from wall to wall trying to calm herself down.
Aramis started to laugh a bit. "i am sorry i shouldn't really laugh." he said as he realized that she was about 30 seconds away from wigging out. "I must admit though it did feel surprisingly natural to be that close to you and your scent is very alluring." He said as his cheeks instantly flushed.
Satele felt like she was going insane. Part of her was ecstatic to have a boyfriend, but another part of her was worried here things might go with it, or what could go wrong. Hearing Aramis' complement, she smiled a little, "um thanks, I guess"
Aramis observed the situation and decided to risk it. He quickly closed the gap between them and took Satele in his arms and smiled softly at her. "Look I am sure you're freaking out and worried how things will turn out between us but some advice i was once given a very long time ago might help." He paused for a moment. "The past is exactly that... the Future has yet to be written and the present is exactly that; A gift all wrapped up for us to enjoy." He said with a quick pause as he got a little closer to her. "In other words learn from the past, live in the present and don't worry about the future because the future is ever evolving with each choice we make from one moment to the next." he explained softly, his heart rate starting to climb faster than what he could counter with controlled breathing.
Satele smiled, "that's a nice sentiment" she said, trying to control her fear and panic. She was about to lean in and kiss him on the cheek when her fear got the better of her and she pushed herself away, "no, I'm sorry, I can't" she said as she started to walk away at an almost running pace
"you know you don't need to run away. i am not going to make you do something you don't want to.. at least not intentionally." He said as he started to walk after her but didn't want to match her pace out of respect.
Although Satele heard Aramis, his words didn't help matters. She was confused as hell right now, completely unsure what to do, and she didn't like the feeling. Finally stopping, she sat down on a bench seat and put her head in her hands, What are you thinking? You don't even know this boy. Besides, what makes him so different from the others? He could be just as big of a self centred jerk as the rest of them she thought to herself, really trying to get a grip on things.
Aramis smiled but simply walked past her and out into the courtyard and laid down on the grass before looking up into the sky with his hands under his head. "Wonder when she's going to decide to finally open up and start to get to know me better while letting me get to know her more." He pondered out loud as he continued to look up at the stars.
After sitting there for a couple of minutes mulling over what she should do, Satele stood up and without saying a word to Aramis, headed for the Gryffindor girls dorm. Right now all she wanted was some time to herself to think things through without Bre or Aramis there to distract her.
Aramis paid no attention to Satele leaving and simply remained where he was for a few more hours before heading back to his dorm room for the rest of the night. He figured there was a reason for the hot and cold temperaments that Satele was giving him and simply decided he would let her come to him and tell him when the time was right.
