Mission: Another School Year, Another ...
Location: Gryfindor Girls Dorm

Up in her room, Satele was busy packing a magically extended backpack with everything she thought she would need to survive without magic outside of Hogwarts. She was still crying, but it wasn't just because that her boyfriend broke her heart. She had found out that Aramis’ father had managed to kill her mother and that Aramis was instructed to kill her.

Zipping up the bag, She was about to walk out of the room when the door swung open to reveal Bre and Ayano standing there about to walk in. Seeing the look on Bre’s face, Satele sighed, “don't say it Gabrielle”

“Say what? That you're an idiot. I don't need to say it. But what I will say is don't do this” Bre said, trying to convince her

“T-Tell her, w-what my letter said.” Ayano stuttered, tears still flowing down her cheeks.

“What letter?” Satele asked.

Holding up Satele’s wand, Bre stared her down, “Aramis left two letters with this at the front door to the great hall. He asked me to look after her. In his letter to Ayano, he explained that…” She said before being inturrupted

“He is going to kill his father? Yea, I know that" Satele said, glancing over at her wand "I also know that his father killed my mother and that Aramis was ordered by him to kill me”

“Stupid!” ayano blurted out and threw her letter at Satele then turned and buried her face into Bre’s side trying to hide her tears

Leaving the letter where it fell, Satele kept her eyes on Bre, “Don't get in my way Gabrielle. You’re my friend and I don't want to hurt you, but if you try to….”

“If I try to stop you, that you will be stopped, but I know that you’re not going to let this go. Even if I stop you this time, you’ll just go ahead and leave”

Ayano got really mad, clenched her fists, turned around to face Satele. With raw anger, hate and pain in her eyes looked at the girl. “Stupid, stupid person…. I am about to either lose my big brother or become an orphan and all you give a damn about is losing your mom even though you should have been dead already.” She paused as she huffed with rage

Satele looked at Ayano and had to resist the urge to slap her out of anger, “I know I should be dead, but…”

“Shut up!.... don’t you get it… he couldn’t kill you because he’s in love with you you idiot. he’s going to kill our whole clan or die trying because of his love for you and you don’t even care.” Ayano finished as she finally broke down into tear filled fits of crying.

“Of course I care, but it won't make a difference. He’s doing his pig headed thing and ignoring me. Yes I'm obsessing over my mother, She is dead, killed by your Bastard of a father. And I will hunt him to the end of the muggle and wizarding worlds”

Ayano’s rage started to ball up again. She walked right up to Satele, clenched her fists, drew one back and slugged Satele in the stomach. “Don’t you ever call him pig headed. he’s throwing his life away and hurting me because he loves you you BAKA!” “I HATE YOU… ONII-SAMA SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOU INSTEAD OF DESTROYING HIS HONOR JUST TO PROTECT YOU.” she shouted.

Getting the feeling that Satele was about to punch Ayano, Bre quickly stepped in, “enough, both of you. This isn't going to help anything”

Ayano just stood there daring Satele. “go ahead hit me… i don’t care… can’t be worse than living with the fact that i am losing my family because of you.” She started to cry again.

Taking a deep breath, Satele clenched her fist to control herself. “Get out of my way” she growled

“G-Go a-ahead… t-tell h-her e-everything i-i told you.” ayano sobbed.

Getting impatient with them, Satele pushed past them and headed for the way out. She couldn't believe what was going on. First her boyfriend was ordered to kill her and now her closest friends seem to have abandoned her and ontop of everything, her mother was dead. Everything just seemed to be falling apart around her, and now she was going to fix it.

Still crying, Ayano looked at Bre. “why….. why…. do… i…. have… to… become… an…. orphan… just…. so… she… can… throw… away… the… sacrifice… he’s… making… for… her????” She stammered out.

Bre sighed, “I don't know, but sometimes people in love do some crazy things”

“It… hurts….” Ayano said as she dropped to her knees clenching her stomach as she kept crying.

Kneeling down, Bre wrapped her arms around her, “I know, I know. Don't worry. Your big sister will find a way to fix this. One way or another” she said, giving her a warm hug while looking after Satele.

“P-Promise???” Ayano asked.

“I promise. I won't let anything hurt you if I can prevent it” Bre said quietly. She knew that this wasn't going to be easy, but she was going to do her best to protect Ayano.

Eventually Ayano cried herself to sleep in Bre's arms but she was not having good dreams.

Jen had the early morning shift before everyone got up -- and before anyone SHOULD get up, really. With all the problems at Hogwarts, the Headmistress wanted patrols of the school at all hours. All the professors and the Prefects had turns. Now, all Jen wanted was a quick nap before class started. Fortunately, Professor MacAulay gave her a pass to get out of her first two classes -- along with a list of the requisite homework. Jen loved homework, so after her other classes she planned on hitting the library to catch up.

As the door opened to the Gryffindor dorm, Jennifer almost ran into Satele on her way out. "Sorry!" Jennifer said, glad she didn't knock the poor girl on her backside.

"It's fine. Don't worry about it" Satele said simply. She did her best to avoid eye contact with Jennifer as she knew that her bloodshot eyes and cheeks would make Jen want to know what happened and if there was one thing she didn't need, it was an older student, let alone the head girl, trying to stop her from leaving.

Readjusting her bag on her shoulder, Satele tried to get past Jennifer and out of the Dorm.

"Satele, what's wrong?" Jen asked. The girl didn't generally avoid eye contact, which was a clear sign to Jen that something was very definitely wrong.

"it's nothing. I just got some bad news from home" Satele responded

Ayano suddenly woke up screaming at the top of her lungs with what could only be described as a bone chillingly blood curddling tone of voice. She had had a very nasty nightmare and was now hyper ventalating and crying at the same time. All she could stutter out was "i am scared."

Jennifer looked at Satele skeptically, "I still want to talk to you," she said. Then she ran up the stairs to Ayano's room.

"What's wrong?" she said, going over to the girl's bed.

"S-s-sc-sca-scared..." Ayano stuttered out. Before remembering what happened and breaking down into a new crying fit.

Jennifer went over to the girl and hugged her.

Giving a sigh, Bre walked over and closed the door, "it's a bit of a long story and it's a bit strange so hear me out until the end" she said, walking back over the Ayano's side and giving her back a rub.

"Okay," Jennifer said. "What's going on?"

Ayano started to cry harder and shake violently with fear in her eyes.

Taking a deep breath, Bre started to explain, "well, for some reason, Aramis' father has killed Satele's mother and Aramis was instructed to kill Satele, but he chose not to and some how that stripped him of his honour so in order to regain it he is going to kill his father. Now Satele has left on some foolish revenge quest."
