Mission: Another School Year, Another ...

[CONTINUED from part 2]

"Dumb move lady... You have just interfered in the matters of the Aoi clan. They will send more of us to both capture the girl and eliminate you or they may just go after the rest of your family first." the immobilized shinobi stated before breaking something in her mouth and immediately started to not only froth at the mouth but going into full cardiac arrest only to die a moment later.

"YOU have just interfered in the affairs of wizards." The Professor turned to the girls. "That...person lied to you. A fairy let them in. If it hadn't been for the magical brownout last night, they wouldn't have gotten through the Castle's protections. The others committed ritual suicide as well. Rest assured, the Castle will not let their kind in again."

Professor MacAulay addressed Jennifer. "What do you know of this?"

"Not much. I came into the common area and heard Ayano scream. She and Bre explained what happened, then the Shinobi showed up."

Maggie turned to the other girls. "And where is Miss Dragomir? I assume she is a part of this?"

"Yes because father killed her mother and ordered Onii-chan to kill her but he refused and destroyed his honor and damaged the honor of the family. So now he is going after father with intent to kill or die trying in exchange for his honor and that girls life." Ayano explained while practically spitting venom out of her mouth as she still didn't understand why brother would choose satele over family.

"So chances are i am going to become an orphan because of that girl and because my Onii-chan chose her over family." ayano stated angrily before starting to tear up again.

"You think it would be better than your brother murdered an innocent child?" Maggie asked, not at all pleased with the violence. "I'm not saying he should kill his father, either. He should really take the matter to the authorities. No one needs to live with the knowledge that they killed someone they loved, be it father or girlfriend."

"Onii-chan and father have been at odds with one another for a long time as onii-chan never wanted me to follow the family trade but father demanded it." ayano said as her voice got shaky and tears started forming in her eyes. "I love my onii-chan more than anyone will ever know and it hurts to know he is risking everything just for love." she said fighting back the tears.

"He's not just doing it for his girlfriend," Jennifer said quietly. "He's doing it for you. To protect you from your father. Don't you see that? It's more complicated than you realize."

"I know Onii-chan loves me that's why he asked Bre to take care of me."

"The real question you have to ask is how can someone like my father whom only knows bushido and alchemy kill someone that has full magic ability like you." ayano continued.

"Then you must ask who in the magic community would want that girl and family dead." she finished

"Anyone -- even a wizard -- can be killed by a blade if they're caught off guard," Maggie replied sternly. "It's not as difficult as you may imagine. The better question is, why do you continue to support your father murdering people and trying to make you be just like him when you have so much more to live for? Like Miss Collins said, your brother loves you as much as he seems to love Miss Dragomir. He's trying to protect you both and all you want is for your father to succeed. That's very self-centered of you, child."

"I know he loves me but he doesn't know how much i love him... And i never said I wanted my stupid Otōsan (Father) to succeed but at the same time I don't like that Onii-chan is having to choose between family honor and doing what his heart is telling him to do." Ayano said as she balled up her hands into very tight fists. "Onii-chan is going to kill the bulk of our family and clan because of all of this stupidness. Maybe you should be figuring out who put the death order out for her and her family and why the specifically chose an assassin based family that aside from my onii-chan and i, can't wield magic and thus uses ancient practices and bladed weapons mixed with alchemic poisons to kill their targets." She ranted a bit.

"I already know why it works so well... It works so well because very few people think about shinobi's and thus when a shinobi shows up the target is caught off guard because the target is not use to threats of that type..." She trailed off for a moment as if she were remembering something her precious onii-chan had told her once. "Assassinary 101... strike when the target least expects it." She finished with a noticeable cringe and whole body shiver.

"I am going after onii-chan. I have to stop him" Ayano said as she used Bre's shadow to slip out of sight before using other shadow's to get out of the room and move towards her own room where her gear that her beloved brother had hand made for her.

Bre sighed, "I don't have the first clue what to do now other than try to keep an eye on Ayano. And to answer your earlier question about where Satele is, she's probably half way through the forbidden forest by now" she said, putting her wand away, "I don't want to see anyone get into trouble, but I also don't know how to stop anyone"

Ayano didn't make it out of the room. As soon as she slipped into Bre's shadow, Professor MacAulay spelled her so she was unable to move. "It would take someone far more experienced that you, young lady, to slip past me. If you're going to insist on being foolish, you'll be confined to your room. Do I make myself clear?"

"Let me go... or when my brother gets back i'll tell him you were mean to me." Ayano fired off figuring that her brother would get really angry with the professor and take action against her. What she wasn't thinking about was the fact that he had purposefully left her at Hogwarts for her protection.

"That's quite enough from you, young lady," MacAulay said, her tone growing more assertive. "I do not believe you would care if your house lost points, so you are hereby ordered to detention. Two hours after school in my office. I don't recommend you disobey me. You clearly have no idea the power of a witch. And, now that we know about your family, they will have no power here, either. Do I make myself clear?"

"You know nothing of my family and as for the power of a witch... i may not know that power yet but nor to do know the power of a true Shinobi. My Onii-chan will hear of this and then you'll experience the true depth of a Shinobi's power which I wager is superior to yours since you didn't even know my onii-chan was gone until we told you." Ayano smugly stated still not understanding that her brother had left her behind precisely because she not only safer in the castle but protected from herself as well.

"Ayano, I think that you'll be the one feeling his 'Shinobi Power' when he gets back and finds out that you tried to leave the castle" Bre said, putting her hands on her hips

Ayano simply huffed and turned her face away and closed her eyes as if she had declared that she no longer acknowledged anyone's presence.
