Mission: Another School Year, Another ...
Lotus Blossom peeled off in a roll and headed for the Kitchen; she knew her way around there and could lose Tiger Lily...
Ayano was moving around in the shadow's trying to improve her skills so that she could impress her brother upon his return. As she neared the great hall she paused while in a shadow and started looking around as if she was able to sense something unusual. "Huh... that's weird. i could have sworn someone or something was watching." She thought before resuming her personal training, eventually heading towards the library.
Jennifer, now that she'd seen Ayano and her ilk in action, knew what to look for and caught a glimpse of the movement out of the corner of her eye. Ayano. She sighed and watched the girl for a moment, then walked into the Great Hall. She would have to tell Professor MacAulay about the girl later.
She met Fiona, who was staring up at the rafters. "What's going on?" Jennifer asked.
Fiona nodded to two fairies heading out of the Great Hall. "That. Not sure what's going on. I've seen the fair one around. She has a bit of a sweet tooth. Not sure who they belong to, though."
"Interesting," Jennifer said. "At least the magical creatures aren't affected."
"By what?" Fiona asked.
"Everyone who was at the party last night lost their magic. If I were you, I'd leave in case there's any residual curse around here."
Fiona started at Jennifer. "Really? Oh, dear. I'm going to the library. Can you smuggle in some buns and a pumpkin juice?" She didn't wait for an answer before turning and running out of the room.
Jen didn't blame her. If she still had her magic, she should keep far away from the place the curse happened.
Ayano popped out and ran up to Jen holding some nice flowers. "Here, for you... to say sorry about earlier." She said sheepishly.
"Thank you," Jen said, surprised at the gesture. "That's very kind of you." She hoped it also meant that Ayano was having second thoughts about turning her back on Hogwarts to become an assassin like her family wanted.
"Friends?" Ayano said as he held out her hand.
"Friends," Jen said, shaking her hand.
"I know that my family has a very dark past but i also know that brother is shielding me from a lot of it..." Ayano trailed off for a moment. "Don't know why he's doing that but i know it's dangerous for him." She paused before suddenly grabbing Jen's hand and pulling her along as she ran towards her bedroom.
"People who love you tend to do that," Jen said, following along as quickly as she could. Reg tried to keep her away from his family for the same reason.
"Was that Lotus?" Maxwell came sliding to a halt watching the two Fairies flying away; his wand coming out in a flurish like a duelist drawing a sword, and he spoke the words. "Et lotus blossom semita evocant ." The Wand flashed as the SPell lashed out into the air in a sparkling trail for Maxwell to follow. "Sorry I have a Faye to catch." Maxwell holstered the wand as he took his first steps.
Kaitlyn watched Robin cast a spell and chaise after the fairy. Then she did a double-take. "Hey, wait! You were at the party, how come you have magic?" But Robin was already out of sight.
[A Short Time Later]
Reginald walked down the stairs, passing a few students who seemed panicked. He didn't know what came over him. The last thing he remembered was putting on his costume and then a sudden feeling of being tired. After that came nothing, until he woke up in his bed, still in costume, and it was morning. "Where the hell is she?" Reg commented as he looked around.
"Who are you looking for, Reginald?" Violet replied softly. "Is it that girl you like? The muggle? Father says she is no good and that your doing nothing but putting a bad mark on our family name?" She said lightly before looking over to her brother and giving him a sad look. "Do you hate our family that much, Reginald? Do you hate me that much?"
Reg looked down to his little sister and let out a deep sigh. "Violet? Jen isn't as bad as our father makes her out to be. I care about her, just like I care about you. That's why I need to find her and apologize for not being there at the party. I want to make sure she isn't mad."
"If she is mad at you then it her lose." Violet commented as she hugged her brothers arm and smiled up at him. "You can always do better if she is. There are plenty of pure blooded witches who would be honored to be with a Price boy."
"Yeah?" Reginald replied before he looked around again. "Well, none of them would be her." He glanced around one more time before focusing back to Violet. "Now, are you gonna help me or not?"
"Fine." Violet replied softly as she looked around, seemingly uninterested. "What does the Mud-... I mean Jennifer look like again?" Reginald just shook his head and let out a sigh, not wanting to get into it with his little sister.
Jennifer finished her chat with Ayano and headed back towards the Great Hall to see if Professor MacAulay was still around, or if not, to find Reg. She hadn't seen him since the previous day and was a little worried.
As she rounded a corner, she saw him talking to his little sister. She slowed, not sure if she should interrupt them or not. If it was just Reg, she wouldn't hesitate, but Violet didn't like her much.
